How can I fight with my video game addiction?

I've been playing games since I was 6 and have loved them since I first took driver, or pop in a disc. But recently I've really been playing a lot of calm after a long day, or just having a good time. I starting to fall behind in school and my grades have dropped. I stopped playing guitar and even stopped playing baseball … I'm in shape, but I'm afraid my addiction going to make me fail school or simply be bad for me. Please help me find a way to manage my time wisely and set priorities.
